Leatherby's

We decided to go to Leatherby's because Kevin wanted to try the Daddy Dave's Sundae challenge to defeat the gargantuan mountain of ice cream all by himself. :O
Aaron and I decided to share a Rich's Banana Split. :) It looks so puny compared to Kevin's.

Daddy Dave's Banana Split: Cookies & Cream, Vanilla, and Cookie Dough Ice Cream
Rich's Banana Split: Mint Chocolate, Coffee, & Swiss Milk Chocolate Ice Cream

Unfortunately, Kevin was not able to devour the entire sundae because he was too cold. :( But he did eat 3/4ths of it! Next time we will remind him to bring a jacket.

Getting Rid of Them Cake/Brownie Mixes

Spiral Cake Mix Cookies
-Betty Crocker Cake Mix (Strawberry & White)

Brownies!
-Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies
-Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownies

I was able to get rid of 4 boxes of cake/brownie mixes! Baking is so tiring. I brought most of these goodies to Karen's house, so it is no longer my problem. Hehe.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

I found a bunch of copy-cat recipes for those delicious biscuits from Red Lobster, so I just HAD to try it. It turned out pretty well and it was sooo easy to make.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits (yields approximately 12 biscuits)

Biscuits:
2 1/2 cups of Bisquick
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3/4 cup milk

Butter Glaze:
3 tbsp melted butter
2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder or garlic salt

1. Preheat oven to 400F. Prepare a baking sheet greased with butter or cooking spray.
2. Combine Bisquick, garlic powder and shredded cheese in a large bowl.
3. Add milk and stir until well mixed. (Dough will be sticky!)
4. With a spoon, drop biscuit-sized clumps onto the baking sheet. The dough will not change shape after baking, so mold into desired biscuit shape.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until biscuits are slightly brown around the edges.
6. While the biscuits are baking, prepare the butter glaze by combining the melted butter, oregano, and garlic powder/salt.
7. As soon as you remove the biscuits from the oven, brush the biscuits until they are well coated. Serve warm.

Enjoy. :)

Milo's Grill

So the day after Christmas, I went to the Roseville Galleria with the cousins, Tony and Angela. Since we were with Tony, who's an extreme food lover, we had to get something tasty to devour. We ended up eating at Milo's Grill in the food court. The place served Greek food and it turned out to be quite delicious. Tony was VERY satisfied. I am glad we ate at a place that met his standards. :)

Here is what we ordered:

Spicy Gyro - $6.99

Spicy Chicken Gyro - $6.99

It was cooked really well and the lamb meat in the Spicy Gyro was soooo yummy. Definitely recommended. :)

Banana Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Brown Sugar Buttercream Frosting

It was Christmas Eve and Angela mentioned that she was bored and wanted to bake something. I wasn't doing anything important, so I decided to take a nice drive to her place to help her bake some delicious treats with the random ingredients she had at home. This was the outcome:

They were delightful and so interesting to make. The recipe can be found here.

Cousin hang out day with Angela, Kevin and Aaron. We sat in a really small booth, but it's all good. We love ice cream. And french fries. We also love french fries. <3
